T.I ft. CeeLo Green- Hello
T.I’s new video from his current album Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, tells a humorous story of the journey of man!
The song itself stands alone as a great track, with CeeLo’s vocals and T.I.s talk on his progress and wealth! Just that no matter where you’ve started from you can always grow and be great. The real Started From The Bottom hustle!
The video is a great visualiser where you can see T.I. is growing as a man and an artists away from the typical Hip Hop videos (which we like but can be dated) to something more story telling and interesting!
Throwback of the Day
Eve- Satisfaction
Released in 2003, Eve’s single Satisfaction was released from her 3rd album Eve-Olution and was very well known and recognised song by Eve, despite it lack of successful chart numbers.
The vibe in this song is so jazzy and hip hop you have to bounce to it, if it was dropped in any house party then or now I’m sure everyone will be on the floor 2-stepping to it!
Such a laid back video and song that it will forever be relevant with Eve and hopefully when she returns something like this can come with it aswell.
New Video of the Day
Stooshe- Black Heart
New UK female group Stooshe have been working hard this year to make their stamp on the music scene solid and strong. With their diverse look of Pop & R&B with their own good twist on everything they do here is their new video Black Heart.
This video is great because it showcases something very different to what they normally do yet still look amazingly good and natural. They normally mix and match with their attire and colours but they looked beautiful in their dresses and hair done up.
The song itself is something fresh and brand new in today’s music, with great vocals, harmonies and arrangement coming from the girls. If they can bring something good like this off of their previous work it seems like their music will do well!
Throwback of the Day
Ms. Dynamite - It Takes More
It Takes More was the debut single from Ms D’s debut album A Little Deeper in 2002, the single reached Number 7 in the UK.
The video interpreted the life the music industry lived at that time and what the negative consequences were of Hip Hop life. Usual to Ms D’s lyrics and actions she wanted to question the industry and provoke thought, very unique at that time from a female MC.
Despite the little success of the single and the album, Ms Dynamite’s music is still majorily relevant and so is her presence in the music industry.
Tumblr World!!!
I am officially back to the scene of blogging! It has been a very long time and I know alot of people have been waiting around mind-boggling on what has been happening! University life has been taking control sadly and work work work has just been the main priority for such a long time. Stress!
But don’t fret! I have been keeping myself busy in the world of music! I (obviously) have been listening to music, be it Throwbacks, Classics, New Tunes, Fresh Videos, Hot New Artists and Albums! I’ve had the wonderful world of the internet, mainly Youtube, to keep me on point with new and old sound around! Also with the help of 2 friends in particular I have seen and heard alot of fresh new artists and producers around the block!
Over the past few months I have been listening to new Artists such as A.L; a new hot fresh UK female singer (more on her soon), Angel, Nujabes, Birdy and her new album, Syron, Kendrick Lamar, Burial, Purple Ferdinand, AlunaGeorge, Daley, Lianne La Havas, Disclosure, Frank Ocean, Miguel, James Blake and a hell of a lot more!!

New Video of the Day
Tyga - Rack City Remix ft Wale, Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill & T.I
Coming off from the ground-breaking single Rack City, Tyga has released a remix to the track with various other rappers. Keeping the video simple and the beat the same the different rappers laid down their verses to the unstoppable song.
Even though no verse stood out or was amazing they all did their job in making the song even more of a club tune! Personally, T.I’s was of spitting his verse was the best for me, but all did well in making the song just that bit better.
Possibly with this new remix it will bring more notice to Tyga’s new album, which I’ve heard is very good! We’ll see!
Live Performance of the Day
J- Cole- Cant Get Enough- Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
J Cole performed his current lead single Can’t Get Enough on Jimmy Fallen’s show a few days. This single has done reasonably well in the charts recently and maybe this performance will help boost it up and broaden his audience.
You can really feel his energy and passion in this performance with the right backing from The Roots, his flow was on point and swag in the right place.
Last year was a good year for Cole and I think he’s still on point this year and ready to carry on!
When it comes to listening to music what do you think or like listen out for the most??
Be it the live instruments, harmonies, artists vocals or range, synth beats, lyrics, breaks, drops or dynamics.
For me it will have to be the harmonies of the vocals. What makes a song for me are the harmonies that the artists puts in, the more harmonies the better!! The more of a clash the more artistic and dynamic. The more subtle the sweeter, the more original the more love!
Some of the greatest for me will have to be Beyonce, Boyz II Men, Ne-Yo, Mariah Carey, Brandy, BSLADE, Durand ‘Alcoholharmony’ Bernarr, Kirk Franklin! For me they do fantastic harmonies ranging from the bass to sopranos which I adore and just give me life!
If you want I could show you some clips of their amazing artistic thoughts!
What are yours??

Throwback of the Day
Timbaland & Magoo ft Missy Elliot- Cop That Disk
In 2003 Timbaland & Magoo released a duo album titled Under Construction, Part II, a sequel to Missy Elliott’s album Under Construction and this song was the 1st single off the album.
The single didn’t do extremely well in the charts but it was in everybody’s ears and mouth! It was such a banger back in the day and even still today when it’s dropped anywhere people are ready to break it!
The video alone was groundbreaking, bring forward the moves and fashion of 80s Hip Hop. From the dancing, battles and swag of 80s just to educate the kids of today!
The beat was too hard not to move to it, even writing this now I’m busting a few moves! From the loop of the piano to the hard beat of the drums, Timbaland really is a professor of production.
To the hard lyrics from all the artists! Bringing forward the lyrics of iconic Rappers; Timbaland’s verse- ‘I Know I Got Soul’ by Eric B & Rakim, Missy’s verse- ‘Paper Thin’ by MC Lyte and Magoo’s verse- ‘I Got It Made’ by Special Ed but also mixing it with their own flow and lyrics.
I think this song and video will go down in history as one of the best of Timbalands, Magoo and Missy tracks! Too much!
Hot New Artist & Hot New Track of the Day
Karmin- Crash Your Party
Karmin are a group straight off Youtube, after a few years of performing, millions of views from covers like ‘Look At Me Now’ ‘Super Bass’ and ‘Born This Way’ and worldwide love they have officially released their own single, Crash Your Party.
Their style is very much Pop with a little bit of Dance, R&B and Hip Hop through Amy’s vocals, tone and ability with Nick’s production and beats. Amy have this great ability to rap very well without making it cheesy or tacky as well as make a good Pop song but still original and interesting! They have this great chemistry that will keep them together making even better songs!
Hopefully their Youtube fame will reflect in their record sales and musical success.
Throwback of the Day
LL Cool J ft Total- Loungin’
Loungin’ was released in June 1996 coming from LL’s 6th album Mr Smith.
This single received massive airplay in America and also rising the charts in the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs reaching #3 & #4 respectively.
Around this time LL was trying something different with this album, more Hip Hop love/ballad songs, steering away from his hardcore rap of ‘14 Shots to the Dome’ to more love songs like ‘Doin It’ and ‘Hey Lover’, which gave him more of his popularity of that he has up till today.
I remember being a young child watching TV and seeing this video, people were having a good time! The rapping and singing was a new flex that artists of the time were doing, showing a collaboration of both sides.
Looking back at this song now and it was truly a tune! Summer in the 90s was live!
Hot New Track of the Day
Wale ft Miguel- Lotus Flower Bomb
Building up to the release of Wale’s album Ambition people have been building the hype about the album for a while now and this song has been on everyone’s lips, especially their Twitter Timeline.
This track right here is a great song showing the classic Wale as well as his new style of rapping and content. Miguel also did well with vocals, as per usual. I love the ‘ah ah ah eh eh eh eh ah’ harmony in the background and Wales word play!
Hopefully this album does well and gives Wale the recognition and success he deserves because he has tried!
Throwback of the Day
Lloyd- Girls Around The World
Lloyd has released such an amazing collection of music over the years. From his début album Southside to his current King of Hearts he has not let down his fans with great vocals, videos and songs!
Personally this is one of my best Lloyd songs and videos! From the sample of ”Paid In Full” by Eric B & Rakim to the good falsetto vocals and Wayne’s verse! Lloyd did good stuff with this track!
